Tragic Loss of Ambassador Al Kaabi

Tragically, Ambassador Juma Mohammed Abdullah Al Kaabi succumbed to his injuries on February 15 following a terrorist attack in Kandahar, Afghanistan, on January 10, 2017. He was in Afghanistan as part of the UAE's humanitarian mission to support the Afghan people. During his mission, he laid the foundation stone for the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Orphanage and signed an agreement with Kardan University to offer scholarships. The terrorist bombing resulted in the loss of five Emirati diplomats, all of whom were engaged in implementing a range of humanitarian, educational, and development projects in Afghanistan.
